Storyboard Proposal

I had hundreds of ideas, ok, maybe only like 35, and I found it really difficult to settle on just one. I drew out sketches of several of them, decided on one, then thought of something new. With each idea I began formulating plans on how I would bring create it using photoshop and illustrator. Most of my narratives more or less original, not derived from song lyrics or a scene from a book. Time ran out so I'm choosing to go with my latest idea. It will be a series of 5 still photos. I will be taking original photographs to manipulate in photoshop, and perhaps draw my own flower/tree/bush in illustrator, otherwise manipulate a stock photo, I haven't decided yet. I want to create something beautiful and emotional, if only slightly, with color and subject. Smoke has a fluidity of motion you can see even in a still photograph. There is something mystical and beautiful about it which is why i'm using it as my subject. Not only smoke, but smoke coming from the lungs, like breath itself, has a living quality to it that I hope to capture with this project.

I'm planning one photo to be of me, breathing in white-grey smoke, my face in grayscale to match. Then the second will be me releasing it from my lungs, as a cloud of deep blues, pinks, and purple. From this smoke I will create a living object, some sort of plant, maybe a tree of the same colors. The final frame will be a smile from me at the very real, very tiny tree I and the smoke have created together.
